The Only Source Of Knowledge Is Experience

“The Only Source Of Knowledge Is Experience”  – Albert Einstein old-man-surfing

Many people want to be coaches and teachers, so they read books and take courses, but the older I get the more I realize that the best teachers and the most interesting people are the ones with the most real life experience.  In today’s American culture as well as most of developed countries, we find that youth has lost a great deal of respect for the more experienced and mature of society.  The only problem is of course, our culture lacks wisdom, which is actually a very large problem manifesting in a major void of spirituality and wisdom.

Each time I meet someone, one of the first things I notice is wether or not they’ve been through some major life struggles or have they just been on cruise control.  Typically the ones with the most experience are good listeners and speak only when the time is right, while those without much experience do the opposite.  What is your experience with the experienced?

Yoga will open your life…literally, to help you become more fully expressed!

“Yoga will open your life…literally, to help you become more fully expressed! But be forewarned, chad scott yogapeople will criticize you for expressing yourself and talk smack behind your back. Just realize they only do this because deep down they are unhappy with themselves. This pose is called: Upavistha Konasana A.k.a. Seated wide legged forward fold. To get in to the pose sit down with wide legs, then use your fingertips to lift yourself from the base of your spine press forward while lifting then hinge forward from your hips.

The Road To Someday Leads To A Town Called Nowhere

Ever find yourself saying: “Someday I’ll start that project,” “Someday I’ll look for a partner,” “Someday I’ll start that marketing campaign.” Sometimes it could be legitimate, like you’re really not ready for a relationship and you need to learn how to love yourself, but more often than not that word “Someday” seems to be more of an excuse than a legitimate reason.

But why do we make excuses?  Are we lazy or just scared of the work that needs to be done, or even scared of the success that could lie ahead.  Probably a combination of all if you ask me.  But when you get just a little bit of clarity and you notice that hey: You’re never gonna be ready 100% and the longer you wait the further away you get from what you really want.

At this point the first step of awareness is taken care of, now you need some momentum with the first action step in moving towards making someday “Today!”  Action of course is the ultimate catalyst for all change.  So get off the couch and take a step by writing down a plan of action then do something immediately.

“In order to get something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done”

Have you ever struggled to get something, a raise, a great relationship, or in my case fans that just didn’t seem to care? We all struggle with this and we either avoid the issue all together or we just keep doing the same thing expecting a different result. Problem is, nothing changes and time rolls on, then 10 years later we ask ourselves, “Why am I still in the same position?”

The best question really is, “What can I do differently to get the result I want?” Questions guide us and open the doors to new possibilities. Personally I’m asking myself, “Hey self, what can we do differently to really spread the good vibes music?” Now I’m certainly not short on ideas, I can start churning out video content, I can do a rockumentary, I can get really active marketing instead of creating (which sucks but its just part of the game) and of course there are a host of other things I can do.

Now the only challenge is execution and making them happen, even if they cost money and have no guarantee of return on my investment. So off I go to execute and perhaps inspire you to do the same. Are you ready to do something you’ve never done?
